Nelson/Tasman is the proud home of the long established Dawnbreakers Fishing Club.
The aim of the club is to help manage and foster the sport of fishing by encouraging, advising and assisting members with all aspects of fishing.
There is a real family atmosphere about the club, with a special emphasis on families and people really enjoying the camaraderie of socialising and competing with and against each other.
The club runs an annual season long measure competition from October to May, and in addition to this also hosts the regions largest annual fishing competition the Snapper Cup.
Throughout the season from September to June the Dawnbreakers Fishing Club hosts monthly social days with educational and inspiring guest speakers, club fishing trips away, mini competitions, and events for the kids too.
Club members also receive a number of discounts and member exclusive offers from local sponsors and businesses. Whether you are fishing from land, the kayak or your boat the club offers something for a wide range of fishing enthusiasts.
